So yummy!!!

So I finally sent my design in so I can get some labels made!  I am super excited and think it turned out pretty cute so I have to say I am pretty pleased with my design.  It will be fun for the kid's things.  I can't wait to see them!!!

It's the little things in life for sure...like coming up with fun flavors of tutus.  As I was cutting blues and greens today I started thinking of The Little Mermaid and thought about Under the Sea since it's kind of like water.  I also finished one yesterday which I have not yet named but reminds me of rainbow sherbet a little bit but perhaps more of the berry kind.  I will have to get a picture of it.  Maybe...Bananaberry!  =()

Happy Monday!!!!

Plant, animal, or vegetable...

Well none of the above I suppose when it really comes down to it. But I did find some chickens in my kitchen the other day. ;)

I finally got an apron put together this weekend.  I have some cut still but keep getting sidetracked on all my other fun things I am making.  But I absolutely LOVE the colors of this one.  I happened to have the yellow polka dots for something else but was so excited when I happened to have the two next to each other!!!  I have to say I might have a hard time parting with this one.  ;)

I was also able to get some of the coasters and napkins finished but not the matching apron yet.  It is still sitting in pieces waiting for me to bring it to life!  I think the napkins turned out pretty cute.

I think the Michael Miller Paris Ville fabric is really fun with the Candy Ta Dot!  Pink and polka dots!!!!  Fabulous!  Makes me want to sit outside at a cafe with my iced coffee and perhaps a scone!!!

Of course, I have been kind of excited for the little clutches I have also been making.  I have another one in progress which will be lined with vinyl but had a slight snafu with the zipper so had to take it apart today and start over but will get that one up once it's finished.  It's Alexander Henry Regent Skull...really liking it and with the vinyl will make a great make-up bag!

However I think my favorite might be the little Minnie Dot pleated skirt.  It's an 18 - 24 mos.  Something about things that tiny just make them cuter!  I love little clothes, they are so precious and I giggle every time I finish one.  I take it, come out of the room and go show my husband who just smiles and shakes his head b/c I am giggling at each and every one!  Bless his heart for putting up with me and my fabric EVERYWHERE!!  =)

Plus...I just got all my tulle to work on fabulous tutus.  I am just trying to figure out when I am going to fit all this in!  There seriously are not enough hours in the day I tell ya!  What's a girl to do???  =)

Ta-Daaaaat

I seriously think I have an obsession with polka dots!  Everything I want...is polka dots and then there are PINK polka dots!!!  Like the New Riley Blake Pink Summer Dot from the Summer Song Collection...!  =)

It's so yummy, I can already think of oodles and oodles of fun, fabulous things I could do with it!!!

I have the Gnomeville fabric in hand, also from Michael Miller, that I just came up with the dress I wanted to make with it...I can't wait!  How can your resist little gnomes in their mushroom houses with their little clothes hanging and of course...POLKA DOTS!!!

I love it, love it, love it!!!  There are so many scrumdiddleyumptious fabrics out right now...I'm like a kid in a candy store!!!

Oh...look...something shiny!!!

Happily ever after...

So I just got the images from our wedding in July and as much rain as we had, I was thankful at how green and lush everything turned out.  I still absolutely LOVE the colors!  They just make me smile!  I do not, however, miss all the stress and everything else about making everything and getting it all together but I guess it did turn out rather colorful and cheery!  Here is a glimpse into our little summer party...

...and there you go.  There are over 1100 pictures so needless to say there are many many more but these are just a few from the mass collection!  Now I can look back and appreciate it a little bit more and be thankful I don't have that stress this year!  ;)

If it's not snowin' it's blowin'!!!

What can I say about spring in the mountains???  Let's see...if it's not snowin' it's definitely blowin' (more snow in)!  Sheesh.  So, part of the reason the pics are a little funny is because how hard the wind was blowing.  I had a great place to set up some pics but seeing that I was so excited to post the Tea Dress and the bandana skirt, I had to settle against the railing in order to work "with" the wind.  Crazy!

A few others I have recently been working on as well...I was supposed to be making purses buts just so fun and cute to do clothing for the littles!!!  How can you resist???  There is just simply not enough time in the day I tell ya!

I have a few more but will have to post them later since my lunch is now over and I must return to my day job!  ;)

HAPPY CINCO DE MAYO!!!  Who wants a margarita?

Sundaes and pizza...

I started a dress today and in the process of starting it, I had to run to the store to get more thread, made a pizza sandwich, started working on new labels and well...needless to say got a weeeee bit distracted.  Me, you ask?  Never!  Ooooh...something shiny!

Where was I?  Oh yes, so I am glad to say that the dress today is fixable but sadly the sunsuit I started working on yesterday is not.    =)  It is from the Australian Home Journal (1955) and well, the pattern pieces/instructions were not the best I've worked with...okay, it could also be my occasional lack of attention that lead me to cut it wrong.  Hey...what can I say?  =)  So here it is...
Yes, yes...I know the armholes are lacking in the "roomy" area but that will be fixed soon enough.  I just absolutely love the blue though...LOVE it!!!

My second little project this morning is the Sundae Skirt which I am wondering if there is any way possible I could squeeze into it.  Maybe not with the three days of pizza I have had.  But there's always cute little bugs who are more than willing to have a twirl or two in it.

The colors make me so happy and for a brief (very brief) moment, I forget about the snow that is blowing around outside my window.  Spring I tell ya!  I have some more fabric I can't wait to use on this skirt...it's just so fun!

So, I am now down to my do-over with the sunsuit so I will charge on and hope this one turns out a little better this time.  I find it definitely helps to cut the pieces in the right direction!
